We were both totally unapt for trade or sales. The guy from Bela Crkva was a repatriate and carried three passports: Macedonian, Albanian and the US. His idea was that we supply him with fine merchandise for a supermarket, mainly food from Holland, so that he would have a flying start in Tirana, a market, he was positive, will soon burst up and develop faster than one could even dream.
So, we packed up samples and went to Resen then to Bela Crkva and the following day to Tirana. It was an incredible experience. My son Igor joined us out of curiosity: Albania was far from open at the time.
