About this blog
Hi Friends,
In the days preceding Carnival, a boisterous, animated, hedonistic spirit covers the eastern part of S. America; nowhere more apparent than in Brazil. Come join me for a visit to the samba-dancing, beach-going, hip-shaking capital of the world, Rio de Janeiro. Then our travel continues onto the sensual, elegant tango-dancing metropolis of Buenos Aires with a stopover in Colonia, Uruguay, a UNESCO World Heritage site frozen in its rich Spanish-Portuguese colonial splendor. South America would not be complete without a visit to Bariloche, Argentina, an alpine town, founded by German and Swiss immigrants, that lay nestled in the lake district of the Andes Mountains.
