One day I will finally write about my Istanbul trip in 2003, one of the most fearful experiences of my life. I happened to be just a block away when a bomb exploded at the Neve Shalom synagogue. 57 people died in the attacks, and 700 were wounded. And I saw many of the wounded ones running out on the streets. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility.
