Two good friends going on a short regional trip to get away from mundane everyday work life. And what a rewarding trip it was. The sights, sounds and smells were simply fantastic.

This was a trip I took with Marcus back in 2005. It was cool. We were simply having a beer one evening and talked about taking a short break to Vietnam. Following my last trip to Cambodia, I've been wanting to see places such as Halong Bay and Cuchi tunnels, etc. I checked for tickets the next day, confirmed the dates, and the brothers were on their way to Vietnam :-)
Meeting Chin Khim and Wendy in Vietnam was really nice, as were the sights and sounds of Hanoi, the picturesque Hoi An, and the bustling Saigon. I swear that 'pho' is defintiely way better at the roadside stalls in Vietnam then anything you get back in the restaurants in Singapore! And the school we visited in Saigon has left a huge impression on me.
