Work trip with a little time left over for some sight-seeing. Amsterdam is a lovely city. Beautiful canals, great museums and concert halls, where you're free to do anything you want, its got it all.

What will one take back from a visit to Amsterdam? A huge grin because you could smoke dope, have space cakes? Because of the attractively lined windows of the redlight district? That cannabis starter kits are available on the streets? Or is it the museums like Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, etc? The Concertgebouw? The sight of the beautiful canals? A day trip to Keukenhof? Heineken beer? I'd say all of the above. Why?
Just picture this - Dope and prostitution are all legal, but yet drugs usage and prostitution in locals are amongst the lowest in the world. A model city where where people are afforded all the freedom in the world ... a freedom that it not abused, balanced with respobsibilty.
To add to it all, it is a very, very lovely city.
