About this blog

Be in the Moment

"You're traveling to participate, for the opportunity to experience other cultures and ways of life. You want to look back on your journey and remember that you really existed there-if only just for a moment."

Our family vacation this year will not be a far journey from our Texas home base, but it will be one of the longest car trips our kids will have experienced. We're visiting the Heartland of America this summer on a road trip we're calling the Mid-America Loop. And the itinerary of cities we'll visit is loaded: Oklahoma City, Wichita, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis and Little Rock. We'll also stop in Daingerfield, Tx to let the kids visit Grandma and Grandpa before heading back to Arlington.

Our 10 days on the road will be busy and we'll rack up plenty of mileage on the car. The engine will crank up July 20 and my goal is to be, "on I-20 by 11:20 on 7/20". Keep us in your prayers.

Thanks for sharing our journey.
