New Mexico - Land of Enchantment
About this blog
Why do I blog? Mainly so I can read them later and remember what and when we did these travels. Second, I write for my friends and family to follow along, so if you're not friends or family, you'll just have to endure the references. And last, because it's a great way to preserve these memories.
So now we're off to another reunion - this time in Albuquerque, NM - to spend a few days with friends who were stationed together at Howard AFB - Canal Zone in the early 70's. This year our group has dwindled to about 30; guess that's what happens as we get older.
We'll be stopping several places along the way and hope to give you an account of what we see, do, and EAT. Anyone who knows Wendell already knows he'll be seeking out the best "New Mexican" food restaruants to sample the local cuisine.
Our wonderful pet - Nitchie - an American Standard Pit Bull Terrier - is staying behind with friends. She's almost 13 and really doesn't like riding in the truck, nor is she crate trained, so she can't be left alone or she'd try to chew her way out of the RV. And, we won't even discuss her behavior during thunderstorms! Trust me; it involves Valium.
So come along if you have the time.
