Welcome to Annette and Helen's travel blog. When my husband suggested that my mother and I visit the mainland of Europe by train, obviously I new he was trying to get rid of me. In light of this, I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and go for a month. What began as a short trip has turned into a major mobilisation. We are going for a whole month and visiting Holland, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, France and, briefly, England. Not only am I looking forward to visiting 13 of mainland Europe's most beautiful cities, I am, believe it or not, really looking forward to spending a whole month just me and my mum. She's as mad as a hatter and I foresee an international incident. Watch this space
