Back in 1989 we spent ten weeks in Africa, with our children (aged 8 and 10)joining us for six of those weeks. Our flights were scheduled via Madagascar and the Comoros, but we had to forego these stopovers because we didn't want to leave our kids for any longer than we had to(they already weren't allowed on our camping safari tours as they were considered too young). As anyone who knows us will attest, missing an opportunity to go to an exotic new place was hard to handle. However, we vowed we would return! As it turned out, the flight we were booked on, from Mauritius to Nairobi, no longer existed (THAT'S another story) and we ended up flying via Reunion. Once again, we vowed we would return! So, seventeen years later, here we are!
