Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan by truck, followed by three weeks of taking it easy on Turkish coast.

We're always looking for inspiration for our next trip. As we've now been to well over 100 countries, it's getting harder to find that inspiration. The 'Stans were one of our possibilities when we attended a Travel Show earlier this year. Just as we were leaving, we heard someone talking about a Dragoman overland trip, which, though not exactly what we had in mind, piqued our interest. We've now booked the 40-day trip from Istanbul to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Our original plan was to spend another three weeks in the 'Stans, travelling independently, but this became just too hard to organise due to visa problems (you must state the EXACT day you are departing), so instead we are going to (hopefully) relax on the Turkish Mediterranean coast.
