Hwy 1 Big Sur, CA - Keli & Dave - July 2004 -- We drove in our convertible Miata up the coast from Santa Monica to Hearst Castle, Big Sur, Monterey, Carmel, and on to San Francisco. Gorgeous trip!

We started in Santa Barbara and saw a chalk art show at the Mission. We loved Hearst Castle with its amazing outdoor pool, and Big Sur was wonderfully beautiful! We hiked among the redwoods. We continued on through the beautiful towns of Monterrey (Monterrey Bay Aquarium with Sea Otters!) and Carmel with its cute small houses, we saw Pebble Beach golf course and then on to San Francisco where we rode cable cars, drove across the Golden Gate, ate Ghirardelli chocolate, and saw an Oakland A's game. We also took pictures outside the main gate at Pixar! On the way back down we enjoyed Santa Cruz, Morro Bay, and Solvang with its Dutch windmills and vineyards.
