About this blog

This was a trip through DePaul's Global Brigade Club in which we did a Medical Brigade through Global Bridages in Honduras. I want to first thank my parents, Grandma, the Altenburgs, my sister Jennise and her husband Michael, my Aunt Pat, and the Sperlings for giving me the financial support to complete this trip. Equally important I want to thank my Aunt Wendy, Aunt Denise, Aunt Dorlene, my Grandmother, and Dr. Smith for donating essential medicines and supplies to help make this trip successful. Each day on the trip we set up a free clinic where patients where we would help facilitate take in, take blood pressure, weigh patients, record symptoms and then bring them to the doctor. Afterwards they would get a prescription which we would fill, including daily vitamins and a treat... usually soap or a toy for children. This blog was written about a year after this trip, with excerpts from my personal journal in quotes.
