The Composite Elections into the Permanent Assembly of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) of the African Union were held in Nairobi, Kenya from April 15 to 17, 2008 for many countries in Africa. The elections were held to elect representatives of civil societies in Africa to the Council who will make the voice of the people more audible in the affairs of the African Union. Ghana had the opportunity to elect her two representatives on April 17, 2008. After the Ghanaian elections, we had the privilege to watch those of Nigeria, Mali, Guinea Conakry and the West Africa sub-region. Our Kenyan friends took us to many places in the Nairobi city. We interacted with a lot of people and were pleased with our brethen in Kenya
