Finally, Angkor!

After trying to get to Cambodia for the past few years, I finally made it! Thanks to an ex-colleague who was travelling, I hopped over on Air Asia and we did the temple tours together. Had a couple days on my own before that to explore Siem Reap.
From the top 10 things to do, I covered at least half. All the key temples, a cooking class, the silk farm with some gorgeous weaving Cambodians are fast re-discovering, watched a brief apsara (Khmer classical dance) performance, a local Cambodian market and dined at the top restaurant in Siem Reap in Hotel de la Paix.
We were also lucky no thanks to the Bangkok demonstrations, the number of visitors were very low. Friendly people, great weather - had a wonderful time!
