Spent a month in Hanoi; the hottest time of the year with full on humidity!

Escaped a couple times with side excursions, the first time a day trip to villages that specialize in hat making; and glass noodles (from the cannella plant). The second trip was longer over a weekend by train (never try to buy the tickets yourself! alwaygs go through a travel agent in north VN especially!) to the Sa Pa highlands - the poorest region in Vietnam.

Great time in spite of the heat. Hanoi is always a great place to visit - better in cooler weather of course! but you would miss all the lovely abundance of tropical fruits!
