About this blog

Welcome. In James's immortal words quoted on the white board at work: "Paris in July? Too hot, too touristy. No thanks." Yes, we may be snobby for turning down a chance to stay in Paris for a week this summer, but then again, perhaps we may discover a new, equally alluring side to France. We are heading south this July--Southern France that is--for a week in Aix, a week in Biarritz, and a week in charming villages along the way. We will meander through the countryside, satiating ourselves with sunshine, lavendar fields, and a gourmet best spoken of in hushed tones. Join us for the ride--it may not include much of Paris, but we can guarantee it will include a sea breeze and a healthy lack of tourists in fanny packs and tube socks.
