Tanzania Safaris - Serengeti , NgoroNgoroCrater, Tarangire & Lake Manyare
About this blog
Our 7 day Safari in East Africa(Tanzania) was unforgettable. Yes, we did see the big five ( lion, buffallo, leopard, rihno & elephant) but we saw soooo much more, from a lingering crocodile waiting to catch his next zebra to cheetahs playing on a field, enjoying the warm African sun rising...
It was one of our most amazing trips we ever did - seeing these animals so close that you can almost touch them, is an experience I wouldnt trade for a million. And by "almost as close to touch" I really mean this, sometimes our 4x4 Landrover was so close to a big elephant you could ( which we of course didnt) touch it....and the lions were pressing there bodies right to our warm car, when it was cold in the ancient vulcanic crater.
One night in the Serengeti, two female lion even came into our campsite. The campsite wasnt protected, so animals couldnt see boundaries between "their" teritorry and "ours". Our guide explained that this was the principle of the Serengeti. Leave the animals in pease and set no boundaries for them. In fact we are on their land and not vice versa!
