The first stint of my 'go it alone' tour around South East Asia commences at Bangkok and travels North over the border to Laos. The trip purposefully takes under 2 weeks as I was keen to get into Laos and away from the many tourists of Thailand. Like China, Thailand is developing at a furious rate and as ever, this is mostly noteable in the traffic...
