Svalbard - 78º North
Written by beagui

With temperatures well below -30ºC, the total darkness of the artic winter and the danger of snow avalanches and fragile ice covers in the front of surging glaciers (that Bea saw close up...), this has been our most extreme travel to date.
But all was worth it, because it gave us the chance to enjoy the magic of the Northern Lights, the energy of the waves in the Greenland Sea, the amazing wildlife (polar bears, reindeers, artic foxes) and the perennial white and blue cover of Svalbard.
