¡Hola! Let me start off by announcing that, being in Barcelona now, it is only right to do the entry here, so please pardon the awkward punctuation, as the keyboards over here are quite different.

First, how did I get out here? Well, you might have read previously about my desire for an Amsterdam to Italy trip later this summer. After losing my I.T. job due to layoffs in the states, the prospect of making it out to Europe was looking slim, especially because my friend and travel partner also got the boot from his work. One night, while I was in Miami about three weeks ago, I received a call from a friend of mine whom I reached out to previously about a Europe trip. He called to say weŕe doing it after all. I´m in. Need I say more?
