About this blog

This two-week vacation could be called the "Godfather" of all trips. Although "The Godfather" wasn't the first mafia movie made, it was certainly a catalyst of the mafia film genre and the most impactful. This voyage set forth an ironic guideline by which I'll forever abide: Greater planning before trip = Greater level of spontaneity during trip. By coming into Southern California prepared for what was available, we had the freedom to explore any option at that point. I had done so much research beforehand, that I didn't have the cognitive dissonance or the "what if" about not going to a certain popular site. We knew where we could go if we wanted to, and the rest was to be unveiled along the way!
