I had planned to take a trip similar to this one last year, but it fell apart at the last minute due to an (unsuccessful) attempt to get a job in Dubai. Let's see if I have better luck this year!

About this blog

This will be a rather circular tour around the southern part of Africa. Starting from northern Mozambique (I'll explain later why), I will go by car to Victoria Falls via Malawi or Zimbabwe and Lusaka, Zambia. From there I'll proceed, probably by bus, to Namibia and then on down to South Africa. If I've had enough by then, I'll end the trip in Cape Town and fly back to Bangkok from there via Jo'burg. Otherwise I might continue overland back to Jo'burg via Lesotho and Swaziland. My return flight is freely changeable so I will play it by ear, as I've been doing on recent trips. I might join some shorter group tours / safaris along the way if it makes sense and is convenient.
