With the hot season approaching, it's time for me to get out of Thailand for a bit of cool exposure to nature. And where better to do that than New Zealand?!

About this blog

As a reminder, Thailand has three seasons: hot, hotter and hottest. Well, hottest is coming up soon - culminating in Songkran, the Thai New Year. During Songkran, the Thai tradition WAS to sprinkle perfumed water on people. This tradition has somehow evolved into shooting people with huge plastic water guns and throwing buckets of ice water and dirty canal water at them. As a result, I skip town at this time of year whenever I can. This time I chose New Zealand as my destination because it is their autumn now and should be pleasantly cool. I also feel like exposing myself to a bit of nature in the way of lakes, trees and mountains and such - something really lacking in Bangkok. Join me on my journey and let's see what happens!
