A round the world trip with paying a penny! Well, I was actually paid £9 6s 4p per month plus keep! That was what the shipping company paid me as a Junior apprentice aboard the mv Fleetbank back in 1959. Take no notice of the map dates, by the way! The Travelpod doesn't allow me to go back far enough! There were lots of adventures on the way, and the way back! I shall be adding them when time permits. Meanwhile, I have to tell you I quite recently caught up with the guy that I shared a cabin with on this trip and the next. Watch this space!
