A celebrated travel writer, and recent transplant to Hamilton, Bermuda, David LaHuta fills his corner of the web, Bermuda Shorts, with knowledge about everything Bermuda.
He’s written quite a few assignments for major publications about the island since his arrival—most notably, 36 Hours in Bermuda, which appeared in the New York Times travel section last September.
“Moving to Bermuda was never my idea, but when my wife followed her career to Hamilton last May I hardly protested,” David says.
“After all, who wouldn’t want to relocate to an idyllic island in the middle of the Atlantic?”
Bags packed and container full, they waved goodbye to their metropolitan apartment and soon discovered what so many who’ve come before already knew: Bermuda is a wonderful place to call home.
David’s blog is updated daily and includes stories about things like bungee cords as a necessity of island life and the PGA Grand Slam golf tournament.
What a great little spot to talk about all things Bermuda, thanks David for putting that together.
