Traveling in Italy is Elizabeth Condelli’s “#1 passion”.
One of her passions is enogastronomy and you can find regional food, wine, culture and the history of the Italian table on her blog, Escape-Artists.com.
She’s also passionate about art, and you can find suggestions on sculptures every woman must see in her feature, Bernini’s Rome.
Her readers can also find secret hideaways throughout Italy’s 20 regions from castles to agriturismi.
The blog is entertaining and thorough, definitely another one to bookmark if you’re planning to drink wine and eat food in Italy.
And who isn’t planning on doing that sometime soon?

Love reading about Italy on Elisabeth’s Blog….Especially the art and the food. Makes me want to go to Italy and enjoy all it has to offer. Even though I have been about 50 times, It never ceases to amaze me.

E. Condelli knows the deference between a vacation and an authentic ITALY vacation. Her website is not only informative, but I’ve learned more about italian culture/food/and wine from her website, than I did living for three months in Rome. Thank you ESCAPE ARTISTS, you got a fan for life.

Ms. Condelli seems to have a penchant for being able to express both through writing and visuals the allure that is Italy!
She is clear in her vision of what type of travel experience she is trying to create for her patrons, it is easy to see why she has patrons not clients, because their needs are looked at on an individual basis.
Now add in some hands on experience, a deep understanding of Italian culture and history, a dash of extraordinary cooking knowledge, and a personality so bubbly any French Champagne enthusiast would envy and what do you have!
Well book your escape with this artist and you will find out!!!!

Thanks for the link to Escape-Artists, very interesting, not sure if I want to go jousting now, or tour Bernini’s Rome (guess I could do both!). And of course there’s the food, and the wine. Great!

Thank you for the link. Always enjoy reading your articles. I learn something new everytime. Your passion for Italy truly makes me want to go. After seeing the Bernini exhibit at the Getty, can’t wait to see Bernini’s Rome.

I love to experience wine, food, and archaeology in one site. You seem to have a real feel for what a traveler wants (even a virtual one). It is easy to sit down with a glass of wine and “travel” to some of the exotic destinations that Italy has to offer.Thank you for not limiting the adventures to just Roma and Fierenze – they seem to be the only places that other sites focus on.
I would love to see some Bocci culture featured as well!
Keep up the good work

Thanks Heidi for the suggestion of Bocci. I will definitely incorporate the game and its tradition in my Italian heritage section.

Great Site! I love the color and beauty of the pictures. I especially liked the section on your “Italian Pantry.” There are things in there I’ve never thought of keeping stocked in my own, like te truffle salt. Very intriguing!
