Where is Hawkins? is a travel blog about a now 30 something globe trotting office worker who walks that fine line between wanderlust and the desire to stay employed to afford the wanderlust.
Nick Hawkins has been through over 50 countries in the last 8 years, and on top of that, he’s been able to stay employed while seeing the world.
“I’m not a consultant, I’m not a 20-something who has never held down a real job but instead, I’m like most people,” he says.
“I’ve got real world responsibilities, but I’ve learned to balance the two worlds I exist in.”
What makes him stands out amongst the other travel bloggers out there is that he travels smarter than they do.
He says not to listen to the bloggers who tell you how to sit in business class by using miles or how to cheat at status.
Alternatively, you should treat your airfare as an investment versus obsessing over the lowest fares.
Nick will tell you the lessons he’s learned through his travel screwups and tell you what gadgets and gear have worked for him over the years.
“I have no filter, so I’ll be honest – sometimes brutally,” he continues.
“Best of all: I’m not trying to sell you anything. It’s my hobby, not my job.”
