Quench Trip Design is a travel agency based in Toronto and founded by Jennifer Deacon and Mercedeh Sanati.
“Our clients don’t like run-of-the-mill packaged trips. Neither do we,” says Jennifer.
They’ve roamed the world for more than 30 years in search of the most authentic experiences and they’re sharing their favourites with the world on their blog, Quench Connections.
“Traveling is all about sharing,” Jennifer continues. “Our black book is big, it’s growing, and it’s filled with our tips on where to shop, eat and play like a local. The Quench Connection is your way in.”
They have written a couple of interesting posts about exploring their hometown as a tourist, with fresh eyes and meeting Kanye West in Rome.

Hello Mercedeh,
We live in Ottawa and have read some of your articles in the Travel section of the Globe and Mail. I like seeing articles about products where someone with an eye for a missing or novel travel accessory or idea has done something about it. My wife and I are both retired from corporate life and we also saw a travel accessory niche which is very poorly served and were encouraged by friends to do something about it. After almost two years we have developed a premium inflatable travel pillow, made in Canada to exacting standards. Our pillow weighs less than a pound, has a contoured neck support, is easily maintained, packs easily when deflated after use, and is available in two models, a down model and a microfiber for allergy sufferers. The “Pillowpacker” pillow was designed for travelers who pack their own pillows when they travel for any reason – camping, backpacking, business, sanitary concerns, whatever. We only started production in late May but feedback so far from Pillowpacker purchasers has been very favourable. Already our product has been to the UK, Ireland, France, Africa and here at home in Canada. We would welcome your feedback and any suggestions you might have for us. Our website is http://www.pillowpackers.com. Thank you…
The Pillowpackers,
Garry and Beth
