In 2006, WritingTravel.com began as an experiment in blogging about travel writing.
Lanora Schoeny Mueller created a blog to write about her travels and interesting things happening in the travel world.
“It soon took on a life of its own, covering a miscellany of topics related to travel or writing,” Lanora Schoeny Mueller says.
“In particular, as my interest in travel photography developed, blog topics skewed in that direction.”
She invites other writers to share responsibilities of writing blog posts like Sandra Basgall, an aid worker with Catholic Relief Services Central Africa.
Sandra recently moved from Maine to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, so it’s pretty interesting reading.
Some of Lanora’s most popular posts are about contentious issues such as how not to get ripped off on the Metro in Paris and a serious criticism of Schmap.
