After working for three decades as a tennis writer, Marcia Frost found herself out of work.
In January of last year, she was freelancing and substitute teaching, just scraping by.
“I was telling this story at a college reunion when someone perked up and said, ‘I am the Vice President of Marketing for Distilled Spirits of the United States. I take journalists on trips to write about liquor. Would you be interested in going to Cognac?’” Marcia says.
“Of course, I was, and it all clicked in France.”
So she began traveling and writing about wine and liquor.
She began a column on Examiner.com in the summer and she started her own personal blog in January.
Marcia will be attending her first South Beach Wine and Food Festival this weekend and blogging daily.
She also regularly checks out wineries, distilleries, hotels and resorts, all so you don’t have to.
Lucky girl!
