Glennia Campbell knows family travel

Back in 2005, she traveled to Louisiana to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

She started her blog, The Silent I as a way to let her local parents’ group know how her trip to St. Tammany Parrish was going.

They had made a donation of a truckload of clothes and household goods and she was responsible for getting it all there.

“After that effort, I turned my blog into a more general purpose “momblog” with a focus on family travel,” Glennia says.

“In the last year, I’ve decided to focus exclusively on travel and entertainment.”

Her family has traveled to 25 countries and 30 states since their son was born in 2000.

They’ve been to some pretty unusual places, including Greenland and Libya, along with trips to more traditional family destinations (Hawaii and Disneyland).

“Blogging has allowed me to share my passion for travel with the world, and encourage families with kids to take the plunge,” Glennia continues.

“It’s a big world, and we only have a limited amount of time here to enjoy it, so why not make the most of it?”
