A niche travel blog if I’ve ever seen one, The Road Forks by Akila and Patrick McConnell fills yet another gap in the travel blogosphere.
They write about food and travel and they really know what they’re talking about.
Akila is the writer, head cook, food photographer, and compulsive travel planner.
Patrick is chief web designer and web developer, grill master, travel photographer, beer brewer, sous chef, and master dish washer.
“Our website lies at the intersection of food and travel because our minds (and waistlines) are expanding as we travel, cook, and eat our way around the world,” Akila says.
In September 2009, they began their travels around the world.
Since then, they have been to Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. They expect to do much more traveling over the coming year.
You’ll be able to follow along on their gastronomic adventure as it happens.
Their latest post comes from Lampang, Thailand, where they find a feast of “embarrassingly cheap” Thai cuisine.
