After working this morning, i took the afternoon to walk around the seaside and the parks on this beautiful day. The harbour was covered with ice, and the small boats were completely harbour bound. the larger boats moved in and out wit a crunch sound that shook the place more soundly than an aircraft passing closely bye.
The beaches were covered with snow, and then out into the channel. Swans swam as only they can, along the small patches of open water, and flew out across the channel towards Denmark. The beaches stretch on for kilometres, and occasional patches of sand t=show through. Two of the largest dogs I have ever seen walked past me today, and i shuddered as they passed me; the owner being dragged along behind them. Behind the sand dunes, there are lakes where people meet to skate and around which they faire ski de fond. I watched as load after load hop off the buses, with their skis in hand.
Dad, you would love this place. There is a sweet shop on every corner, and people walk around with pockets full of the most wonderful sweets. There are small squares (Torgs) filled with hotdog stalls and with ice skating rinks for the children.
