Once again, we aimed for a sunset, but were once again denied by the clouds.
Our campground is not exactly in the town centre, but not far either (by our standards). It is about ½ hours walk to the town centre, so we decided to walk in, rather than drive.
Our choice for dinner was Giuseppe's, an Italian restaurant
. Make no mistake... my choice would’ve been the Cracked Crab, where everyone wears a silly bib to tuck into their crab. As we’d catered to my craving for lunch, I’d decided that we should cater to Azrael for dinner! Unfortunately, we weren’t entirely impressed with their menu, and our meals left us stuffed but wanting!!! All was not lost though.... they totally redeemed themselves with dessert! Azrael had a fantastic Tiramisu and I had a “give-me-more” Nutella panna cotta! Oh my god..... the desserts were out of this world!!!! I believe this might have been the first time in the last 4.5 weeks that we’d had dessert!!!! They were well worth it! We both felt sick afterwards, but it was well worth it!!! Another thing they did extremely was their Limoncello!!! It was not quite as cold as I would’ve liked it, but it was fabulous!!! It rivalled any of the restaurants in Positano anytime! And believe it or not, their Limoncello is homemade!!! I asked if we could buy some to take home, and they said no, because they made it themselves in a vat and they wouldn’t have any bottles or labels!!!
A fabulous meal, but filled us to the brim. Thankfully we had the ½ hour walk home!! For once, I actually wished we had to go further!!!! I am still stuffed now, about 2 hours later.... but am slowly digesting!!! Somehow.... I have a feeling I will be visiting the Cracked Crab for lunch tomorrow!!! Hahahahahahaa!!!
Oh... beautiful campgrounds here, by the way. We have the tent up and hope we will have an even better night than last night!
We arrived at our campsite in Pismo Beach State Beach about 4-ish and got ourselves a great site! We headed directly to the beach, which is accessible from the campgrounds and walked along the beach to the pier. It is really a lovely beach. The sand is quite "hard", so much so that a 4x4 vehicle could drive along it! We just strolled along and picked up some shells along the way. This was the first beach where we could just walk along, have the water on our feet and not freeze!!! It was simply gorgeous.
