This morning, we woke up early on the boat and motored across a huge lake to a really nice place where we are going to spend the night. Along the way, we saw lots of birds diving for fish, people taking baths and washing clothes, and kids going to school on boats. We also saw a long snake boat that they use for a big race every August. Vishnu said that 121 people can ride in one boat. I wish I could see that.
The lake is very shallow but looks like an ocean. We saw men diving for mud at the bottom to use for building and also men diving for fish and nets. The place we are staying has little cottages, which look very Asian and have big wooden doors and big metal locks. Ours even has its own little pool and outdoor shower. There is also a great big pool right next to the lake. Lu and I got to learn how to make pottery this afternoon from a real potter and even use the wheel. I made a small bowl and I will get to fire it tomorrow
Tonight we went for a sunset cruise and then had dinner. We saw some giant bats flying overhead - they were huge! And Lu met two new friends her age from Canada, whose parents grew up here. Their dad taught me and my Dad how to play carom, a big board game that is kind of like pool but with flat wooden pieces like coins that you hit into pockets with your fingers. You also put a lot of chalk on the board. It was fun.

. Mom and I went swimming at the pool and had milkshakes and then we went for a bike ride and run. I rode one of the bikes they have here and Mom ran beside me. We went on the dirt paths through the villages, which was cool. Lots of little kids kept yelling "Ta Ta!" and we saw lots of chickens, goats, some dogs, and lots of people. Dad and I then went out for a ride - it is great to ride bikes again! I like this place a lot. Tonight we went for a sunset cruise and then had dinner.
