Happy Halloween from Tokyo!
Today I had a very strange and different Halloween, very different from trick-or-treating in Oldwick, New Jersey, that's for sure!  This afternoon we went to our friend's neighborhood, Shibuya, to find me a costume for Halloween and have lunch before trick-or-treating.  Halloween is not an official holiday here, but some neighborhoods do celebrate it.  We are going to Meredith and Isa's neighborhood.
I found a great grim reaper/The Scream costume at this crazy costume store.  It is all black and has a pretty scary mask.  Tallulah already has a costume - she was a ladybug.  After getting the costume, we had some lunch at a French-Japanese place, which was good.  I had steak frites, not sushi!
Then we went to a Pachinko parlor, where there were tons and tons of video games on three floors.  There were lots of grownups playing - that was weird Crazy costume store in Tokyo

!  Dad and Lu played a drumming game, then Dad and me played a Rambo game, which was awesome.  Japanese people love video games!
After that, we went to Karaoke place and rented a room.  We had to go up to the 6th floor to a tiny room where we watched a TV and sang Karaoke.  I sang Green Day and Guns 'N Roses, and we sang Yellow Submarine by the Beatles and ABC by the Jackson Five for Lu.  It was really fun!
Tonight we went trick-or-treating with Meredith and Isa.  It was weird to not be in New Jersey with my friends and I was kind of sad for a while.  But then I started collecting candy and it was okay.  I like to hang out with Meredith and Isa a lot.  There were lots of kids on the streets in all kinds of costumes, but none of them were too scary.  I got a lot of candy and am about to fall asleep now before I count it.  Tomorrow we are going to spend the night at their house - that will be fun!
