Last night Dad and I went to a Fenerbahce Futbol game. It was soccer, not American football. Real futbol.

We had to cross a bridge into Asia. For the first time in my life, I was in Asia! I cheered when we crossed the bridge! Now I have been to five continents.

We had to walk a long way around to find our seats, but lots of people helped us. We actually really never found our seats, but we sat in some seats that were empty. There were about 50,000 people there, almost all men. There were only a few kids there. The game started at 9:00PM and we thought we could get dinner at the stadium. But there was no food there. The only thing they sold was sunflower seeds and water. So we ate that for dinner. Kind of different from Fenway Park, where there is tons of food! Fenerbahce won and beat Genclerbirligi (I had to look at the ticket to spell that name!) 3-0 Turkish flags are everywhere!

. It was pretty exciting.

We got home about midnight and Mom and Lu were already asleep. It was a great night.

This morning, it was pouring with rain for the first time on our trip. We decided to have breakfast and by the time we were finished, it was only raining a little so we walked to the ferries. We took at big ferry all the way up the Bosphurus under the Bosphurus bridge towards the Black Sea. We saw lots of old houses on the Europe side, made of wood and lots of boats. It was a little cold and kind of rainy, but it was still very cool to be out on the water. We turned around just past an old fort that used to guard the town of Istanbul and motored back on the Asian side. There were lots of nice houses and playgrounds on that side and lots of fisherman. And lots of mosques and huge Turkish flags flying on all sides. Tallulah and I got Cheetos on the boat - we had not had any since Majorca!

When we got off the boat, we bought some Turkish flat bread sandwiches from a lady who was making them from scratch. She had tons of dough and she put in cheese and spinach and potatoes. I liked the potato one the most. And there was an old lady who was trying to make money by getting people to weigh themselves on her scale (it looked like she brought it from her bathroom.) Tallulah got weighed. There were lots of cats hanging around and trying to get some food. It was a fun morning.
