Day 1: A whole year has gone by and it is time for us to return to Singapore. With our plane due to depart at 4.55pm, we left super early at 1pm. Our train trip to the airport was full of drama as we waited at Parramatta station for an hour for dad to bring the camera Tim forgot to pack. We went from being early to running late! Everyone was pretty much pissed off at someone... So we rushed to the terminal straight after checking in (no maccas lunch), and it was only then we found out that our QANTAS flight was delayed for an hour. Great! On the plane the food was crap, as usual. Katie ate all our crackers, as usual. The movies were pretty good, I watched 'Eclipse' and ‘keeping up with the kardashians’. We arrived in Singapore at 10.55pm
Day 2: had rotti prata (Indian type of pancake you dip in curry, our favourite) and carrot cake (fried glutinous rice cake thing). We went to Tampines mall to buy random things and went home. The humidity of singapore did not suit well with me so for dinner I had jelly and a soy bean dessert. Still waiting to eat a proper Singaporean feast..

Day 3: woke up at an abnormally early 8.30am again...still jetlagged I suppose. For breakfast uncle bought us a variety of Chinese sweets called "kueh" which is basically a flavoured glutinous rice cake. Went to Bugis Markets which apparently used to a night haunt for transvestites back in the day. They sold lots cheap and interesting doodads but I didn't buy anything because we because we had seen all the novelties last year.  Next place of interest was Orchard Road and first stop was Star Bucks (it is our tradition to have frappacinos here).  We randomly walked into “Far East Plaza” which, believe it or not, is trashier than the Lucky Plaza. We spent a long time walking along orchard road, window shopping and taking photos until our feet started hurting then went home. For dinner we had a nice home cooked Singaporean feast consisting of chicken rice, hokkien mee vegetables, etc.

Day 4: nothing worth reporting as today was pretty much spent getting ready for our trip to China the next day. Other than that, we ate at the famous "Long Beach Restaurant" in Marina Bay. Since no place in Sydney serves these dishes, I was very keen on eating the chili crab and Ornee dessert (I actually had 2 servings of was so filling)
