First thing that came into my mind this morning was 'OW! My calves can't STILL hurt?!!' well yes they do, THREE DAYS after climbing that hill. At that point I knew I wasn't going to do an awful lot today. I'm actually in a bit of limbo because my visa runs out on the 13th and I either have to do a visa run to get it renewed, or just get out of Thailand and go somewhere else, but where? So confused.

I lay about all morning, had brunch, and lay about some more. Then my room mate said she was going for a massage. Good idea! An hour and a half of foot massage and all over Thai massage later, I was a much more relaxed and happy bunny, and then my day of nothing ended up with flower arranging, well sort of. Today is full moon, but it's also Loi Krathong http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loi_Krathong a festival to the river spirits, so I sat down and made an arrangement out of banana leaves and flowers, it was all very creative!

I had dinner with 6 other people and then we went down to the river where hundreds people were gathering with their banana leaf floaters decorated with flowers, incense, candles and the odd coin, and also letting paper lanterns go up into the air. It was beautiful. Meanwhile all the 'young folk' have gone of to Ko Phangnan for a full moon party which probably involves drinking too much and being sick and lairy. This was much prettier and more cultural!

I almost thought I'd have nothing interesting to say today, turns out I did (not sure about tomorrow though!)
