11:06 Waking up today was an effort but I managed to get packed though and dressed and sit down for breakfast.
We're on the boat heading for the other shore to get a minibus to Pakse. We were pleased to see Paul and Jane have also decided to come with us and not spend another day on the island so the foursome will continue a couple more days at least! I have to say, I'm really happy to have company, and have had the great fun I have had over the last few days.
12:02 We did worry that getting on the minibus would be a tight affair as usual but fortunately we all have a whole seat each for our big western bums.
Ha! Wouldn't you know it, 5 seconds after writing that sentence 2 men just flagged the bus down and now we ARE squashed in! I assumed this bus was just for us! I was wrong, I wonder how many more people we may aquire on the way. All our luggage is on the roof and not covered, so if it rains it will get wet.
14:04 It rained, hard, our stuff is not covered and therefore wet. Bugger-ation, I hope my new rain cover for my rucksack worked.
20:00 We arrived in Pakse about 3pm, and went to the first hostel - Saibidee 2 and found it was full. We wandered round and found a second place, checked in, then out as they were trying to charge Paul and Jane more than what they said when we arrived. We found restaurant to sit down in where we could have some lunch and from there go and potentially see a few hotels without bags weighing us down and decide on one. As we sat there I saw Neil (who I went for a 3 day tour of the Mekong Delta with in Vietnam) walk by! Hurrah!! I shouted to him and gave him a hug and we found out where he was staying, turns out there is a new place round the corner called the Nang Noi which the owner of the Sabidee 2's nephew runs and is only 1 month old , it was a great room, and a great price! However it continued to rain.

Whilst I was there, the owner had bought a wifi router, and after being out for a while I returned to find 4 men sitting around a computer trying to sort it out. I went over to watch, and then I got involved, and then after not very long all 4 of them left me to it. I tried everything, got the wifi bit working, however it would not connect to the internet. They brought me free water and watermelon which was sweet, but after a couple of hours of fiddling about I deduced that not knowing the ISP's WAN settings was what was thwarting me, and it was too late by now to call them up. So I gave up and we went out for dinner then bowling - a team of 6 of us. The bowling alley was a really decent one in fact and we had a great time. I came 2nd and 3rd, not that I'm competative (ahem!), and it was just a really fun way to spend the evening.

Best: bowling with everyone
Worst: walking around not feeling amazing
