10:17 As I suspected, I was super tired this morning, and as lovely as the jangly music that woke me up at 7am was, I most certainly did not want to be awake that early as I need my energy for the day. Moori said this was because some had died and so it would be quiet tomorrow.

I went down for breakfast at 930 and found Moori, they have no fresh milk so I've been having tea with condensed milk which makes it pretty sweet.
Before we left he asked me to check I had my ticket and my phone. His phone is now fixed and as I'd turned my phone off last night I turned it on again this morning and had a text. "ooh, I have a text" I said, thinking it was probably one of those deal of the day, khmer messages I keep getting and deleting. Moori said it was from him, and he was drunk. I read the message. Oh dear, that's awkward, time to nip Romeo's lusty ideas in the bud. I told him I was flattered but we're friends only, and we left for the day. I hope he gets the idea, although has still patted my knee and told me that I'm not as beautiful with my wide brimmed hat on. I said it didn't matter, that it stopped me getting burnt! (and anyway, I'm not here to look beautiful for him! He's 24!), besides, in this heat I have a permanently pink sweaty face and feel dreadfully unattractive because of it! I appear to have left rainy season in Kampot!

Lady Hello appears to be my new name, along with Madam and occasionally sir.
19:10 After withstanding the brutish force of the sellers today, I made it back to the hotel sanity almost intact. After standing in the coldish shower for half an hour I thought I'd cooled off enough to wilt under the fan over my bed. I'm actually so tired my eyes are losing the will to be open at all and I'm losing focus. A quick nip out for dinner at the Khmer Kitchen for my first Amok (I went with chicken) and some apple juice, I'm actually really looking forward to going to bed! Moori brought me here in tuktuk, which seemed to give him licence to drive even more crazily than ever. I've been hanging onto the motorbike with my fingertips the last couple of days as the road is so wavy a series of bumps will eject you from your seat! I think the point was that I hang onto Moori, making him think he was in with a chance, I therefore decided that hanging onto the brake light was safer in the long run. Moori, aka Romeo, having not exactly taken the earlier hint, was being more or less direct about wanting to 'get it on'. I told him many of the reasons why this would NOT be happening, like being ten years older than him and not being interested in anyone at all right now, and he persisted in coming up with new and interesting reasons why we should. I even told him I prefer girls, therefore excluding him entirely from my interest range and his solution was he'd wear a dress! Sigh, it's so hard being adored. No Moori, a thousand times no. I really wish the Cambodian girls were a little more racy, if only to protect us single White females from these over hormonal lads who think they're in with a chance with anything on legs practically. Next time I think I'll go with being a nun, married or maybe a lady boy!

I had dinner at the Khmer Kitchen in town, selecting chicken amok, which was delicious but I could only eat about a quarter of it since my appetite has so diminished and I don't know why. I'm not sick, I'm just tired and hot,
I took it home in a box and put it in my fridge for tomorrow supper. It was 8pm when I got back and I more or less went straight to sleep.

Best: getting into bed at the end of a long day
Worst: being soooo tired
Beautiful: elephant terrace

Well Juliet, you little temptress! Years ago when I was on holiday on my own on a Greek island and trying to find a chapel in a cave I'd heard about, I suddenly found myself being pursued by a persistent German bloke. I told him I already had a boyfriend, which didn't deter him. He asked what he did, so I explained in German that he worked for the Ministry. He looked goggle-eyed and said "Your husband is a priest?". Too good an opportunity to lose, so I said Ja, ja. He fled. Very satisfying and could be worth your giving it a try?
