13:35 I went to the post office this morning by foot after trying to get Soceth who took $20 off me yesterday to drive me for free. He said that I'd paid or me and the girls, I tried to explain that our deal and theirs was separate and he gave me some sob story about how he paid out his own money to help get the girls home. I gave up. I'm starting to think that one of the reasons I feel so low is that it just seems like everyone is out to take something from me and I just don't have the emotional energy to put up with it. So I resolve to be tougher, after all, I hold the money, and I wont be parting with it lightly now. No more politely engaging in 'no thanks mr bookseller I don't want another book' them practically being emotionally blackmailed anyway, I'm just saying no and not engaging so I don't actually have to feel bad when they tell me they haven't eaten today.
13:50 Discovery of the day, coke zero (as manufactured in Singapore) tastes absolutely terrible. So terrible in fact that I refuse to dink the remaining 2 thirds of a the bottle. I'm also going to stop drinking coke. I've found a powder to put in water that makes it orange flavoured and is full of vitamins and minerals and serves as a rehydration drink too.
16:06 Not sure where this afternoon has gone, I've just sat watching tv on my computer with a huge jug of $3 beer (which will take forever to finish!) Despite how it sounds this is actually an important job as in the background I'm uploading my photos to the cloud to get them safely home. Tomorrow I'm on the road again to Sinoukville where i hope to find a nice beach.
22:00 I didn't finish the jug of beer in the end, it was too much! Off to bed watching The Anchorman. I have to say I absolutely love will ferrell and steve carroll, they are sooo funny.

Best: not parting with undeserved money

Worst: my ongoing sour/low/fed up mood an tourettes

Beautiful: see yesterday about my mood and being unable to find anything

Zoe! I must say I can completely relate to your and how you feel ripped off. I had a melt down in pp when a driver wanted more than originally agreed upon after he brought me to some scam place to exchange money (which I didn't because again they tried to rip me off an excessive amount) I couldn't believe it...everybody looked at me like I was a walking dollar sign. It made me feel super violated, upset and angry all feelings I never dreamed of encountering while on the trip of a lifetime. All we can do is live and learn and stay strong. Plus you may be relieved to know the Thai people and Malays are not greedy nor're headed in the right direction!! Keep smiling :)

I'm so glad you thought so too (not because I want anyone feeling like that!) because now I know it wasn't just me!
Shame we couldn't travel further together :(
Hope you're having fun!
