07:49 As I sit writing the spitting turned to pouring!
08:36 After breakfast I read for a while in my bungalows hammock until I was collected by the bus for the trip. The bus was full of Vietnamese people so I guess I'll keep mostly to myself today. We bounced down the dilapidated, holey road I'd ridden down yesterday to Sao beach.
10:07 Getting on the big boat involved getting on a smaller boat from the beach, the same bit of beach I visited yesterday. ie. Roll up your shorts wade out into the clear water and inelegantly climb aboard before being transported to the big boat. we picked up some alive and moving sea urchins from a small fish farm, and a puppy
13:17 The sand is incredibly fine, finer than table salt
16:13 I didn't catch any fish but the guide caught 4!
Snorkelling was very unclear but I did see an octopus which changed colours.
Got back and arranged my departure for tomorrow to Chau doc as heading to cambodia now.
Spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach with my book.
A couple of nice quotes from the book.
"if you kneel down, life is a mountain; if you stand up, life is at your feet"
"lift your eyes over those who have wronged you
17:48 Took a walk along the beach watching the clouds rolling in from the left and rain falling in black columns in the distance. The sea is roaring and White with foam, and kids play with footballs along the beach. I sat down on a deckchair and ordered a chocolate shake as I wait for the sun to go down, unsure whether it will get to the horizon before the clouds roll in and obscure it, all the time rain is spitting on me but directly above me is only blue sky
Best: seeing an octopus
Worst: the weather and how murky the sea was
Beautiful: the split sunset of good sky and menacing sky
