12:19 Didn't go to sleep till nearly 3 last night as me and Dave were watching some stuff on my laptop.
This meant for another 11am get up, a bowl of Frosties and then onto the subway to Chan Wai as were going to walk the Dragons Back.
The taxi queue is enormous. Why is no one at work?!
It's Dave's last day here today so we're doing what he fancies.
12:37 I can shade my whole self from the sun under my umbrella, which is a much cooler way to stand in a queue. Umbrellas- useful got every occasion!
13:06 Just started the walk. Saw a butterfly
14:43 Still going!
15:25 Just finished the walk. I'm absolutely dripping wet. It was a really nice walk, but so hot. I put sun lotion on this morning but my head sweated so much the lotion and sweat ran into my eyes and stang a bit. Fortunately I am equipped with the small traveller towel Nigel gave me which came in really handy!! (and often has! Thanks Nigel!). Not to worry, although I walked through the sunniest part of the day I used my umbrella to shade myself, however I'm bright pink from being so hot (this is my gym look which so often prompts people to look at me in a very concerned manner and ask if I'm ok. To which I reply I'm perfectly fine I just look this pink when I'm hot and excercised.)
This is going to sound weird, and maybe grose, but I'm sure the inside of my ears are sweating??!! I'm certainly not enjoying THAT feeling. I am looking forward to a cold shower. I might just get in with my clothes on. I need to find a laundrette. I don't mind washing my clothes but I'm not convinced I'm that fantastic at it so would like them to have a proper washing every month at least.
18:03 Notes on the underground. It was built in the last 30 years yet has air conditioning, full mobile reception and wifi. The octopus card can be used on all trains, buses and ferries. But also in 7-11's and mcdonalds to pay for food! The London underground has been around for 100 years? And still hasn't achieved any of that! (oh yes, and although it's a expensive to live here as London. The underground costs pence to use!)
And quite charmingly at rush hours there are people holding up Stop signs to stop you running onto the train!
Did I mention TV screens for adverts? Escalators and lifts at every station
18:10 I have bites. Bites on me look crap because I have really white skin that when bitten goes really red. It's sooo not attractive.
19:34 Found Fa yuen st Market which sells clothes, and sensible things for people's houses - not a tourist market at all.
19:53 Then found the Goldfish Market. Mostly full of Exotic Fish, but also Cats, Dogs, Rabbits and other things. Hamsters are 60p! They have fish in bags, not just small fish, but big ones too! Can't be good for them. The puppies were soooo cute.
20:43 I have just found the coolest thing! A Sword umbrella!!!
21:44 Temple Market street def cheapest. Funny thing is they sell sex toys down here too. I can imagine nothing more embarrassing than haggling over a sex toy in the middle of the street. (I can't even believe I'm blogging about this!)
22:05 It's raining now. I've only had one proper meal today but I'm not particularly hungry.
I feel better about my weight now that I have been assured that muscle is 2.7 times denser than fat. I certainly feel fit and strong and my trousers definitely fit better so thumbs up really! Even at 10 this evening, it is still incredible hot and humid. It's spitting but it may make little difference to the humidity.
22:31 The Aberdeen seafood restaurant is quite a place. It's so dirty inside you dare not look around too long or too closely. But the food here is brilliant. So delicious and also cheap.
22:42 I have such a headache. My face feels like has caught the sun today despite being under lotion and shade from my umbrella, not burnt, just hot. My arms are absolutely fine though so I don't know why my head is emitting so much heat. I'm hoping to go to bed soon.

Best: Accomplishing the walk then having a cold shower on return

Worst: Not feeling too good

Beautiful: from the top of Dragons Back
