Well we've made it to Bonito after two very long drives and a bush camp.
Yup we just drove into a sugar cane field off the side of a road and camped there.
Toilets au natural style.

There were two very long days of driving and this is is what happened after 1 day 10 hours.
Cerveja!!!

First, I have to mention the favela tour which was the last thing in Rio, quite fascinating. The houses are all built very close together with little allies running through them. Its also got some main streets where all the businesses are and other little shops amongst the allies. When people run out of room, they start building upwards, they have water for only 3 days a week and the electricity and telephone wires run through all the allies in a jumbled mess.
We were shown around and taken to a little school that they have there. The children wanted you to take their picture so they could see it.
Although most if not all are below the poverty line they've still got cable TV, internet and night clubs.

Spent 1/2 day in Bonito going to the Blue Lake Cave, a farmer "discovered" it on his land. There are 293 steps down into the cave and at the bottom is a really clear blue lake, hence the name!!
The other half was tubing down a river, cross between white water rafting and a lazy river. Nice.

Another day was spent snorkelling 3km along the clearest river with lots of fishes, big fishes, little fishes and allegedly an anoconda.

Now its off to the Pantanal.
