Last night after our very good group meeting, Bashar already knows all our names, we went for tea. It cost me 400 Syrian pounds which is about $9 and we had plates of dips, pita, chips, salad then stewed meats with vegetables, tea and soft drink and a large bottle of water. Everything is ridiculously cheap here!! After tea Bashar showed us around the Christian quarter and it is a labyrinth of streets with cute buildings tucked in everywhere. We didn't have aour cameras with us soe were going to go back today and take photos. That was until I got sick!!! Started off sleeping quite well until 4am!! Obviously don't need to go into details but it is the usual symptoms that you hear about - that's right symptomS. So unfortunately I missed out on the tour Aleppo today as I stayed in bed all day. Dan was sick yesterday as well and the only thing we had in common was the chicken that we had at tea at that horrible place in Urfa. We have another meeting tonight so will try and got to that and maybe get some bread to eat. Hopefully this won't last too long as I'm really looking forward to the next few days. Crac de Chevalier was the one place I was really looking forward to seeing. Here's hoping.
