I'm sitting here at work, waiting for the day to end and my long weekend to start. Ed and I are taking Friday off from work to spend 3 days touring the Romantic Road in Bavaria, Germany.  We're both uber-excited as we've been planning this for quite some time.  
 
The places we'll be visiting and the sights we'll be seeing are enough to provoke envy...at least in the people we've spoken about our trip to.  Among them mighty castles and lavish palaces that seem to come straight out of old fairytale books surrounded by Bavarian forests and icy blue lakes.

Maybe I'm so excited, more excited than any other trip we've planned, because I've dreamt of these places ever since I was a little girl, imagining I was a princess waiting for my prince charming to rescue me, or fight some evil monster separating our destinies.  Perhaps a wee too many fairytales when I was young...
 
But the good thing about travelling is that you never think your dreams are going to come true, until they do.
