Ed took a week off work to go diving in Brazil with the Instituto Argentino de Buceo (IAB) where he got his SSI Open Water Diver certification and where he is currently taking some complementary courses such as underwater photography, a Rescue Diver course, and a Diver's First Aid course.
The trip lasted 5 days, two of which were left to the gruelling 30 hour bus ride to and from Bombinhas. Each day consisted on getting up at the break of dawn (6:40 am)and spending the entire day diving. He also signed up for two nocturnal dives on this trip so altogether he amounted to 8 logged dives in 3 days. This left him enough time to have a late dinner and attend a midnight meeting with the entire group and the school's director at the hotel.
There were more than 60 divers on the trip, from amateurs to professionals, which made the experience for Ed very enriching. He insisted that the photos speak for themselves instead of writing about it.
