So we made it to Regina Canada today.  It has been a long driving day of very very flat roads.  The roads have been absolutely gorgeous with yellow Canola flowers on either side of us as far as the eye can see.  The flowers are the color of daffodils.  How can you not be happy surrouonded by that beautiful color?  The color just explodes from the fields.  It just screams happiness.  The crop is huge here in Canada.  If you would like to know all the fun facts of Canola here is a link:  I also saw one field of lavender that was so eye catching.  The purple was perfect and mesmerizing like the pictures of lavender fields that are in france.  I only saw that one and wish I had gotten a picture.  Oh well it will be a beautiful memory.

Also up here in Canada every farm (and we passed hundreds) looked very clean and neat.  Everything was organized from the house, to the barn, the tractors etc, it is a neatness that I haven't seen before.  Even the old collapsing barns seemed to be slowly collapsing with dignity.  In fact at one point we drove past a row of old broken down cars that were perfectly lined up in a field.  It is just a difference that is noticable after driving for a day and a half in US farm country and a day in Canada's farm country.   It is very soothing to drive through all this farm country.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn tonight in Regina and I can not believe how polite the children are.  There are three sports teams coming to town so everybody from Saskatuan seems to be here.  The children were down by the elvevator and even with tired parents and a hotel pool w/a huge 1.5 story water slide were polite and nice.  The said excuse me, they waited for the adult to get out the way and stopped when their parents said stop.  It was very refreshing.

So the question of the day is are Canadian geese just called geese in Canada?  We have seen a few along the road in ponds with their gooslings.  What a trip to see where Canadian geese summer :-)  The only other time I have seen them is on their way north or south depending on the season.  Also Dad had an imported beer w/dinner . . . it was a Miller Genuine Draft in a bottle.  :-)  How funny is that?

Unless they have the papers to prove their home country or residency, they actually aren't Canadian Geese, they are Canada Geese.

Very cool that you are blogging your trip, by the way. Keep it up.
