So last night there were major thunderstorms and touch down tornados in the area we were staying. The storms were beautiful. The sky became a gorgeous black and the lighting was flashing across the sky. It was beautiful. Dad and I being the storm geeks we are were leaning out the window (after we popped the screen out :-) and took pictures. I can see the excitment of being a storm chaser. A BIG part of me wanted to jump in the car and head out to find all the weather. Dad said he would be right there with me :-) I think I need to re-watch twister.
Minnesota is absolutely gorgoeous. The farm lands are new sites for me and I loved seeing the rolling fields of green and yellow
Then we hit North Dakota. Wow! the wind is crazy. It is nothing but very very flat land with wind just blowing at a steady pace. The few trees you do see all lean to the right as you head north. I can understand how one would become crazy with a continuous wind such as that.
So good news is that Stella has finally had a full day without drugs and she didn't freak out. In fact she was walking around the car for half the day climbing on our laps and meowing at us. As the little boy who saw her yesterday said "Man that is one big cat". And yes she is, when she tries to set on your lap as you are driving. Dad did a fabulous job of distracting her so that she would stay off my lap as I drove.
Also celebrated Dad's birthday with a candles in a peanut butter cups and a card. :-)
Take care everyone!
